Xi Jinping promises $ 10 billion line of credit to African financial institutions

Nov. 29 (Reuters) – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday announced that a cross-border Sino-African yuan center would be set up to provide African financial institutions with a $ 10 billion line of credit.

China will also offer an additional 1 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines to African countries, Xi said in a speech at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, adding that China will encourage its companies to invest as much as 10 billion. dollars in Africa over the next three years.
