DELAWARE, Ohio, Nov. 10, 2022 (Newswire.com) –
Pathways Branch Manager Toni Morrison and Pathways Business Development Specialist Max Bennett presented United Way of Delaware County staff with a check for $2,500 to help purchase items for the Supplies for Scholars program.
The United Way Supplies for Scholars event allows students to buy their own school supplies and even allows them to choose their own style of backpack. “We have provided school bags and school supplies to more than 2,000 students in Delaware County,” said Gina Grote, vice president of United Way. “This donation from Pathways will go towards next year’s Supplies for Scholars event, where we hope to help even more students.”
United Way provides educational programs and services that help children realize their potential and succeed. However, United Way in Delaware County is unique in that it directly offers needed services like food and rental assistance.
Toni Morrison, branch manager of Pathways in Delaware, scheduled a drive to collect the most needed supplies for the United Way Resource Center “We are always looking for ways to support the Delaware community,” Morrison said. “We’re hoping to overload the shelves at the resource center so they have enough supplies to get through the holiday season.”
The most needed items from the United Way resource center are toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products, laundry detergent, hygiene products (baby wash, deodorant, etc.), snacks, peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna, canned chicken, pasta, rice, ramen and cereal. To participate in the supply drive, drop off requested items at the Pathways Delaware branch located at 879 W. William St., Delaware, OH 43015.
