Partnership Financial Credit Union raises $9,750 and supplies for Ukraine

MORTON GROVE — Members and staff of the Partnership Financial Credit Union raised $9,750 and collected truckloads of supplies for the Ukrainian effort. All seven PFCU offices contributed to the collection, which ran from March 7 to 18, the credit union said.

“Thank you to all of our generous members and employees who have donated to the Ukrainian collection,” said Mary Ann Pusateri, CEO of PFCU. “We would especially like to thank the staff and students of (Skokie) Fairview School District 72 and Park View School of (Morton Grove) District 70 for their substantial donations. We are grateful for the sincere contributions and for our considerate members. a great community effort.

The operation was a success thanks to partnerships with Meest-Karpaty Shipping and Supply Co. and The Selfdependence Foundation Fund created by Selfdependence Federal Credit Union. The foundation has not charged any fees to channel the donations. All cash donations were tax exempt.

PFCU is a member-owned, community-friendly financial institution with offices in Barrington, Des Plaines, Evanston, Franklin Park, Glenview, Morton Grove and River Grove at Triton College. With origins dating back to 1941, PFCU was formed in 2014 when four Chicago-area credit unions merged.
