approved a US$500 million conditional line of credit for fiscal sustainability and environmental issues in Peru.

“It is based on what the public policy matrix is, to ensure fiscal sustainability and ensure the predictability of fiscal accounts,” he said.

The Cabinet member pointed out that this line of credit has a second component which is related to sustainable development, biodiversity, the leverage effect of biobusiness, the recovery plan for the impacts of illegal mining and a pilot plan to formulate the anti-illegal mining project.

“It has very good liquidity and solvency ratios, low default rates; in addition, the plans being executed were also presented, precisely those referring to the observations made by the Superintendence of Banks, Insurance and AFP,” he added.
In this sense, he stressed that the Banco de la Nacion will continue to manage the public treasury efficiently, which is its main duty.
