EIB and UniCredit Serbia launch €30 million Financial Impact Credit Line

BELGRADE (Serbia), June 30 (SeeNews) – The European Investment Bank (EIB) and UniCredit Bank Serbia have launched a 30 million euro ($31.2 million) line of credit aimed at promoting employment and socially inclusive entrepreneurship, the EIB announced on Thursday.

The funding will enable UniCredit to on-lend to Serbian companies that are committed to improving the social impact of their operations and creating long-term employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for women, youth and segments of the population face higher barriers to entry into the labor market. market, the EIB said in a statement.

“Our cooperation with UniCredit is an exemplary model that helps us increase our support both for socially responsible businesses and for hard-to-employ social groups to overcome barriers to employment. Serbian companies will also receive a performance-based financial reward if they meet specific targets aimed at fostering leadership, employment and professional development opportunities for women, youth and groups who often face additional barriers. to access these opportunities, granted in the form of a grant under the EIB’s economic programme.
