Desert Financial Credit Union Welcomes New Chief Marketing Officer

PHOENIX–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Jeremy Nelson, a 20 year veteran in the financial industry, has joined Desert Financial Credit Union as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

As Marketing Director, Nelson will oversee all areas of marketing for Desert Financial including marketing strategy, digital marketing, social media, advertising, promotions, public relations and branding.

Nelson joins Desert Financial during a period of record growth. Membership in Arizona’s largest credit union has grown by more than 30 percent in the past two years.

His responsibilities include continuing this strong growth trajectory through managing the credit union‘s branding strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, creative and content development, and member retention.

“Jeremy’s personal experience and philosophies align closely with our strategy to encourage growth by giving more back to the community,” said Cathy Graham, Executive Vice President of Desert Financial. “We look forward to seeing how his leadership encourages member engagement and extends our reach to more Arizonans.”

Nelson began his career with a credit union in Utah and rose through the ranks to vice president of direct marketing at a regional credit union, serving a million members in seven states across the ‘Where is. He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Utah.
