Desert Financial Credit Union continues its parade of kindness to celebrate the grand opening of its first Yavapai County branch in the Prescott Valley. On Tuesday, September 28, the Prescott Valley Desert Financial team donated 20 laptops to the Prescott Valley Library.
As part of the Desert Financial Foundation’s ongoing effort to bridge the digital divide, the new Desert Financial Credit Union Prescott Valley branch is committed to raising funds to help Arizona students who have not access to a laptop or reliable computer for distance learning. The funds were raised by members and employees of the Desert Financial Foundation with the local Prescott Valley branch, matching every dollar donated.
âThis is the second year that we have had the chance to partner with Laptops 4 Learning, truly seeking to bridge the digital divide for students in need. These 20 laptops can be picked up by those who come here to the library, âsaid Carlissa Wright, Desert Financial Credit Union. “It appears they are always running out of laptops available for checking, so we are delighted to share the success of opening our first branch in Prescott Valley.”
Statewide, the Desert Financial Foundation will donate 400 laptops in conjunction with Laptops 4 Learning to help Arizona students.
