NIAGARA, Wis. — Dan Decker was elected chairman of the board of the Forward Financial Credit Union at the April 28 reorganization meeting.
A board member since October 2004, Decker has served in all positions on the board of directors of Forward Financial Credit Union and was also a director of Evergreen Credit Union in Menasha, Wisconsin, from 1989 to 2003.
Retired since 2013, he was employed at Paper Converting Machine Company as General Manager of Accounting and previously worked at the Niagara Mill as Controller.
Decker and his wife, Linda, reside in Niagara, Wisconsin. They have two daughters: Beth, an echocardiographer at Bellin Health in Green Bay; and Alison (Justin), software test engineer at Humana in De Pere, Wis.
His community service activities include Alderman of the City of Niagara; accountant for St. Anthony’s Parish, Sacred Heart in Aurora, Wis., and St. Margaret’s Parish in Pembine, Wis.; treasurer of the council of the Knights of Columbus; treasurer of the Niagara Lions Club; past Treasurer of Lions District 27 B2 (Northeast Wisconsin); former director of the Sturm Humanitarian Foundation; and Past Finance Chair for Niagara’s Centennial Celebration in 2014.
Forward Financial Credit Union was founded in 1948 as Niagara Papermill Employees Credit Union in Niagara. It now has branches in Iron Mountain and in Pembine and Marinette, Wis.
